Firstly, well done to the Hawks HML team for finishing 2nd in division 2 last night. A must win home match against Kingsland was achieved after a close fought contest. With the Buzzards finishing 4th in division 3 it was a satisfactory end to a season where selection was made awkward due to illness and injury. Well done to the captains, Roger and John and Rob, who successfully managed their depleted resources.

On Saurday will be the Foster Trophy, one of our on-the-day cups, this one 2-wood pairs. Start time is 2pm so please arrive at 1.30 or so for the draw. The number of games and format will depend on the number of participants, but the more the merrier.

Attached are our next 3 Tarmac league teams, on the 27th, 30th and 31st, a bit like buses.

On Friday 28th we will be holding a second open evening for potential members. We had such a good turn-up for the one in Fun Week that it will give an opportunity for those wanting more info about the club and bowls in general to have a more detailed look.

Advance notice. There will be an Indoor open day at Leominster Sports centre on September 26th ahead of the indoor season, totally free! More details when to hand but a good opportunity for a practice indoors.

Even more advanced notice. The Bowls Herefordshire Celebration lunch and prizegiving is on Sunday October 4th at 1.00pm at Weobley Hopelands Hall, tickets £30 pp from your secretary, Kay. Our prizegiving evening will be at Bughill Valley Golf Club on October 24th, tickets available at the AGM.
