COVID 19 Latest Guidelines on Lawn Bowls and use of Facilities

I hope you are all keeping well and safe.

Support Bubble

Single adult households are now able to form a support bubble with one other household. If you live by yourself – in other words if there is only one adult in your home – you can expand your close support network so that it includes one other household of any size. This is called making a ‘Support Bubble’ and means you are able to have close contact with them as you could if they were members of your own household. Once you are in a support bubble you can think of yourself as in a single household.

Playing Arrangements

  1. Singles or Pairs –every rink may be used.

Triples or Fours – alternate rinks (this can be achieved by the creation of additional space between rinks to create room for social distancing e.g. four rinks laid out for play with a half a rink between on an average 6 rink green).

  2. We can now have spectators as well as players on Club premises social distancing must be adhered to and ensure that distinct groups of no more than six people.

  4. Face masks are optional whilst playing bowls.

  5. Try to avoid using shared equipment whenever possible. If sharing equipment please practice strict hand hygiene. If measuring is required players must use their own measure.

  7. A rink booking sheet will be in the clubhouse please fill it in and the club will charge £1.00 per roll-up session. Please place your pounds in the competition box on the wall.No need for an envelope.

    Clubhouse Facilities/Personal Care

  8. Until further notice all clubhouses must be closed with, limited access to use toilets and hand washing facilities.

  9. Wash or sanitise your hands and sanitise any equipment including (bowls, jacks and mats) you use before and after play – do not assume that the person before you has sanitised the equipment thoroughly.

  10. Sanitise padlocks, keys and door handles before and after use.

  11. Please ensure any used paper towels are placed in the bin.

  12. Please take any food or hot drinks with you

  13. Antibacterial spray, hand sanitisers, paper towels will be available in the club house, changing rooms and outdoor equipment shed.

  14. The bar is now opened social distancing must be maintained when queuing for the bar.Contact details of everyone we serve and this data will be kept for 21 days (for trace ability).

  15. Ventilation in the club house must be maintained when the bar is open.

  16. The kitchen still remains closed.

    When you leave the club

  17. Please ensure that you have sanitised all the equipment you have used. And the club is secure.
