The ups and downs of ladies bowls.

The first leg of the annual game between the Ladies and the Gents( Vets) took place on the 9th June. The Gents were winners on all five rinks with an overall score of 124 to 30. Drinks were bought by the ladies in the Con Club and we had an excellant buffet provided by the Steward, Toni, and her Mum. Return match in September.

Better fortune was obtained by the Ladies in their Benevolent Triples match where Annette,Joan and Anne won against their nearest rivals, Bitton Park. Well done ladies keep up the good play.

Shaldon Bowling Club Memorial Trophy.

A fun competition enjoyed by all saw a tie with two teams scoring plus nine but Avril, Audrey and Bob secured the trophy and a bottle of wine each by winning on countback. Commiserations to Joyce, Viv and Barry who also scored plus nine.
