League Treasurer

Hello everyone I hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas.

Sad to say one of us is not very well and that is our Treasurer Bob Toller.

As you know he tendered his apologies for not attending the AGM but in spite of not being very well he was prepared, because he did not consider it to be an onerous or demanding office, to continue in 2018 as treasurer. Unfortunately, time marches on and his condition has got worse and he has made the decision to move into a residential care home near to his daughters near to Bristol.

In consequence, WSBL needs a new treasurer.

The demands as Bob maintains are minimal. There are two flurries of activity one in February and one in September.

1. In February requests are made by post to all respective clubs to send in their team's entry fees by cheque before the end of March. The cheques are taken enbloc to LLoyds Bank and paid into our account.
2. In September/October, the Accounts are prepared and presented at the AGM . At the AGM cheques are made out and paid to Div 1 & Div 2 winners and runners up together with any sundry expenses.

As a safeguard our system requires two signatures on all cheques and these at the moment are mine and Bobs'.

Since Bob will be removed shortly from our account we need a new treasurer soon in order to function properly.

Will someone kindly volunteer or propose someone whom they know will be willing to take on the post and get in touch with me to confirm the matter?

I can then get the necessary forms of authority signed etc.
