Northumberland County Council has launched a consultation about how they will deliver our Northumberland Library Service going forward.
From Monday 16 February 2026, residents, community groups, businesses, members and non-members of Northumberland Libraries can have their say on several proposals. Consultation closes 13 April 2026.
The public consultation asks people to give their views on the future of libraries, including:
how we work with communities
new ways of working generally
opening hours and mobile library routes
using new technologies
how we deliver events, activities and information
Northumberland County Council want to hear from as many people as possible to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Northumberland County Council hope local councils will play a major role in helping us to promote the consultation and have included all the information you’ll need to communicate about the consultation.
