We’ve been working with Joy at the council to try and secure more bins to alleviate capacity issues. Over the last few months we’ve seen lots of extra bins arrive at Dunton so we hope that did the trick.

Unfortunately, we still face problems because some people aren’t using the bin areas correctly.

Current problems include -

- People who don’t recycle at all and just throw everything in the black bins (when this happens the collection teams refuse to empty the whole bin until someone on site sorts them out).

- People who leave recycling in carrier bags next to the bins (these won’t get taken so other people have the headache of sorting it out).

- People who leave large items the council doesn't take (ironing boards, parasoles, fridges, cookers and a bicycle amongst a few of the things we’ve found lately).

If you have any questions on recycling or need any help please let us know. But PLEASE also try and use the bin areas correctly because too much time is being spent putting things right.
