Local transport public consultations

The following consultations are coming shortly and there will be a period of public engagement for two important local transport schemes:

  • the Trans Pennine Trail improvements between Penistone and Wortley and;
  • the Penistone Station footbridge and car park scheme

Whilst the schemes are separate and not interdependent, the public engagement is being combined for time and cost efficiencies.

Residents and businesses near to the schemes will soon be receiving letters notifying them about this engagement period, details of the scheme proposals, anticipated timeframes, and clear information on how residents can share their feedback.

Shown in the table below are the dates, venues and times of the drop-in events in, giving residents the opportunity to view and discuss proposals for both schemes with the project teams.

Public Events:

Thursday 18 June Cubley Room, St John’s Community Centre, Church Street, Penistone, S36 6AR 2pm-6pm

Tuesday 23 June Wortley Wagyu Café, Cote Green Farm, Finkle St Ln, Wortley, Sheffield S35 7DH 10am-2pm

Thursday 25 June St Aidan’s Church and Community Hall, Sheffield Road, Oxspring, S36 8YW 10am-2pm
