Long May It Continue
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
Our game on Saturday 10 October was played in brisk weather. It helped if you stood in the sunlight when the clouds parted. Everyone enjoyed the three games. Thank you to Derek for the organisation, to Brian for manning the bar, and to Roger for removing the leaves from the green.
Welcome back to Andy Brown. it was good to see him out on the green again.
The club has a bank card reader now so you can minimise the risk of COVID infection by not using cash. Next, we will need an app to order the drinks and a robot to deliver the drinks to the tables.
The matches were closely contested and the "scores on the doors" were:
- Roger v Albert 22-18
- Bob v Mal 16 -16
- Pete v Brian - 16-12
Pete Young played a fantastic shot in the last end of his game to finish victorious, when his team were four or five down and facing defeat.
Next weekend, please wear greys and the club shirt, and what ever you need to stay warm. The current forecast is 12 degrees Celsius which is 54 in old money.
