Now that the summer holidays are well and truly here, finding things to entertain the kids day after day can prove challenging. The unexpected arrival of Covid-19 has unfortunately thrown a huge spanner in the works of most school holiday plans, meaning that families up and down the country are having to think slightly outside the box when it comes to finding new and exciting activities. As we are all encouraged to stay local, why not get your small (and not so small) ones outside this summer, to explore the beautiful historic town of Battle with the wonderfully illustrated Battle Activity Book.

Filled with fun activities for all ages, creative tasks and questions to really get imaginations soaring, the Battle Activity Book is designed to engage with children and adults on a number of levels making for a really great day out. You’ll be so busy completing the tasks you won’t even notice your step count shooting up!

As part of the Battle Heritage Trails, the Battle Activity book has been created to help make ‘local’ and more exciting, encouraging young explorers to seek out everything there is to find in Battle. As it is entirely outdoor-based, you can easily adhere to social distancing and keep safe whilst having fun.

The Battle Activity Pack is available to purchase from the Battle Museum, The Almonry and local participating retailers for £5.00. If you are looking for something to entertain a wider range of ages, why not have a look at the Battle Through Time Spy themed treasure trail which will give everyone a top-secret mission for the day. For more information please see the Battle Town Council website or email enquiries@battletowncouncil.gov.uk.
