Make Sure You Are Ready to Vote in May

On Thursday, May 2, Dartford will vote for Kent's Police and Crime Commissioner.
Of course, all eyes are on the Government with a General Election on the horizon, but the PCC election is an important chance for you to vote for the person you feel best represents you to hold Kent Police to account.

However you plan to vote on polling day, it's essential that you bring a valid form of photo ID with you. The ID doesn't have to be in date, it just needs to look like you.
Our Voter ID page has lots of helpful advice on what forms of ID are acceptable, and how to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate if you don't have a form of ID.
Some valid forms of ID include:
- Passport issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, a British Overseas Territory, an EEA state or a Commonwealth country
- Photographic driver’s licence issued by the UK, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or an EEA state (including provisional)
- European Economic Area (EEA) photographic ID Card
- A Blue Badge
- Oyster 60+ Card
- A concessionary travel pass funded by HM Government or local authority (Kent County Council Bus Pass; Disabled Person's Bus Pass, Welsh or Northern Ireland travel card)
If you want to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner election, you have until April 16th to register to vote.
The quickest and easiest way to register is online via the Government Website . You will need to fill in your name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number. The process will only take a few minutes.
