As part of our Local Communities Fund project match funded by a grant from Nottinghamshire County Council, we have now cleared and paved the side of the Community Centre - an area previously unused and cluttered. The area will be now be used to house a storage facility for our Community Flood Signage Scheme, allowing easy access for our volunteers during any future flooding threat. We are now procuring a unit to house all our equipment. In addition, we paved the rear of the Centre to allow St John's pre-school to establish a senory garden for the children.

This phase of the project builds upon the new security fencing installed last Summer. The third and final phase will be to install two new noticeboards adjacent to the entrance for Council and community notices. The new unit and noticeboards should be in place by the end of May.

Further work is planned over the next 12 months to further refurbish the Communty Centre to provide the best possible facility for our users and residents.
