Malmesbury 'B' up to 7th place
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
Malmesbury 'B' had a good away win against Dursley 'B' on Tuesday 18th July. The team won by 80 shots to 51, picking up 8 points to move to 7th place in the league table.
The Dursley club has a quintessential English location. It was founded in 1949 as the R.A. Lister club in the Priory Gardens. Also it has a contrary green especially on rink 4. One of the Dursley team was a 90 year old gentleman making his last appearance for the club.
Malmesbury 'B' have to put in a good performance against Falcon next week to help the 'A' team, and the last game against Olveston.
Finally, Paul Lucas made his league debut.
