Ever thought about becoming a marker?

The marker plays a crucial role in singles matches in mat and jack placement, keeping score, measuring disputed bowls and generally helping to keep the match running smoothly.

The Club has arranged a one-day training session for markers through the English Bowls Umpires Association, to be held at Longmeadow Indoor Bowling Club, Whitchurch, at 0930 on Saturday 1 November. While the session is not exclusively for Andover Bowling Club members - it is open to anyone accessing the EBUA website - we are hopeful that many members of the Club will take up the opportunity. Cost is £15 for the day, and tickets can be booked via the EBUA website (scroll down the page to the entry for Longmeadow). Tickets are being sold via Ticketsource: alternatively, go direct to their website.

Places are limited but tickets are still available. First come first served!
