Message from Helen Smith, Active Travel and Road Safety Officer, Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services:

I am contacting you in regards to our Mature Drivers Awareness sessions, which may be of interest to your residents.

We are holding our next 2 sessions on the 30th June at Newport Fire Station. The first session is 10am – 12:00pm, we have 1 space remaining on this session. The second session is from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and we have 5 spaces available on this session.

These workshops are completely free of charge, aimed mainly at drivers and passengers aged 65+ but we do encourage anyone to attend regardless of age, if they have concerns about a friend or family members driving.

Topics covered include the effects of aging on driving skills and how to keep driving safely for longer.
