You will all know by now that Peter was taken ill last week but he is now back home and I'm sure you will all join in wishing him a speedy recovery. He has asked me to post the following message:

Dear Whaddon Club Members,

Following on from the afternoon triples at Overbury, a lovely setting for playing bowls (I still have the score card for our rink we were winning), as many of you know, I started to feel unwell with chest pains.

I would like to thank everyone that assisted during a very stressful and painful period waiting for the Ambulance to arrive.

Whilst waiting for the Ambulance, it was a very hazy period for me, I know there were many club members involved in keeping me going. My apologies if I have not captured everyone’s name, Mike & Maggie N providing cold towels, Jack C providing supporting words and encouragement along with Pev W, Dave & Jaquie S, John P, I do know there were others supporting, whilst waiting for the Ambulance.

However, on behalf of Karen and myself a very big thank you to everyone for their support, it did make a big difference.

Finally, after 4 days at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, I am now at home resting with plenty of tablets and looking forward to next season.

Once again, a big thanks you too everyone!

Kind regards,

Peter & Karen
