A slightly belated congratulations to Mike Connor who followed up his men's indoor victory before Christmas to win the indoor open championship last week. Nick Channon was runner-up in the men's competition, Phil Ellis in the open.

This is the first time both competitions have been won by the same person, and (I know he won't mind me saying this) at 85 years young this is a remarkable achievement!

There is free parking in the Leisure Centre car park which is immediately adjacent to the Bowling Club. Wheelchair access is via the ramp at the corner of the green where Corams Lane joins Springfield Road.
