Farnsfield Tennis Club held its annual open day/ mini Wimbledon on Sat 8th July 9.30 – 1.00pm.

This year's event was another great success with people attending from Farnsfield and surrounding areas.
On a lovely, sunny, very warm day a large turnout of children 4yrs and upwards together with parents and adults ensured all 3 courts were in constant use all morning.
The courts were made available to everyone who turned up giving people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to play tennis for free.
Everyone who came enjoyed some great tennis coaching from Matt Benford, the club coach. Matt and his team of young volunteer helpers, all wearing their GREAT BRITISH TENNIS WEEKEND T Shirts, were kept very busy all morning.
The atmosphere was great and the event was a huge success.
Plants, homemade cakes, bacon and sausage butties, strawberries and drinks were on sale and as always the tombola proved very popular with everyone.
A very big THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the day and ensured its success
