MIXED FORTUNES FOR ASHLEY AND NICK

After their success on Sunday in helping Hampshire to reach the National semi-final of the Balcomb Trophy, with their rink winning both games in the Regional Finals, hopes were high that, as the 2021 county champions, Ashley Nethercliffe and Nick Hardy would be successful, this evening, in winning their Northern Area Final of the County Finals. It was not to be. They were defeated by Alton Social. The Oakley players will be disappointed that they did not build on their 2021 successes when they qualified for Southampton in the Pairs, Triples and Fours.but wish Alton Social good luck in the quarter finals.
