Dementia-friendly Alton took advantage of the Lion's Annual Party in the Park to meet with members of local public and let them know about dementia-friendly activity in the Town. As part of the fund-raisng on the day - visitors to the stand were asked to guess the birthdays of the three special cuddly toys. Although one of the Alton Lions got very excited when meeting one of them - as he thought it was a long lost family member!! The winners of the toys on the day were as follows: Frosty the Polar Bear - Amelia; Rory the Lion - Wendy Halstead and Kevin the Penguin - Kate Bentley. A big thank you to all those who took part in the game as funds raised support printing of our quarterly newsletter and providing other resources for residents of Alton with Dementia and their families / carers.
