We have taken the following actions.
  • Signage will be mounted close to Church Road/ junction with the High Street.
  • Further discussion has been held with material supplier expressing concerns and reinforcing expectations.
  • Traffic marshals will be placed at
    • Church Road/ junction with the High Street.
    • Near the low bridge/ narrow road within Church Road
    • Junction of Church Road and St Marys view
  • We have told our delivery partner to contact the aggregate supplier to reinforce the importance of having consideration whist driving through the community, making sure that they stay within the speed limits and avoid mounting any footpaths. We have also requested our procurement desk contact the suppliers to reinforce the message.
  • The site has contacted the nearby construction site and discussed the raised complaints, aligning a joint approach to make sure that deliveries are respectfully undertaken.
  • As deliveries have been made to site individual briefings have taken place with HGV operators. Covering the concerns raised.
  • A delivery plan is in place with the aggregate supplier making sure that a low volume of delivery vehicles is deployed to avoid standing lorries within St Marys View.
