Following a landslip in September, a renewal of Rams Wood cutting at Swanley is to be undertaken by Network Rail.
Network Rail are therefore carrying out works at South Darenth Substation and as a result need to install a generator to keep the sub-station powered whilst they carry out works on the high-voltage (HV) cables at the slip site. This generator will be kept off Horton road, please see the diagram above:
The generators will be running at the dates and times detailed below
- 04.12.21 06:00 - 05.12.21 22:00
- 18.12.21 00:01 – 19.12.21 23:59
- 25.12.21 00:01 – 28.12.21 23:59
- 08.01.22 00:01 – 09.01.22 22:00
They are a super silent model, running dB output is 55 when in operation
The works that are carried out at the Darenth Sub Station will be to install the generator to keep the sub-station powered whilst works are carried out on the HV cables at the slip site.
