New 20mph speed limits

Many of you will know that a new 20mph speed limit was been planned in built-up areas in Wales. Well it's now happening. From this Sunday, 17th September, the law will change and the speed limit on Welsh roads where lamp-posts are no more than 200 yards (183m) apart will be 20mph.
Because it will be the new national speed limit, 20mph signs will no longer be needed on these roads - except when the limit changes.

The roads that will be affected are in a Wales 20mph map produced by the Welsh government. Herefordshire council plans to extend these 20mph areas into the county where such roads cross the border into the county, including Newport Street and Hardwicke Road in Cusop, but no date for this change has yet been set.
