New Defib on site.

Thanks to all those who helped raise funds, we now have one of these life saving machines on the wall at the side of the office.

You do not need to be an expert to use a defib and you don’t need training. These things are fool proof and as soon as you open it up it talks to you to tell you what to do.

If you can get to a defib within 4 minutes of someone having a cardiac arrest there's a good chance you'll save their life. It's highly unlikely an ambulance will get to us here within that time so YOUR input could be vital.

Please watch this video the charity British Heart Foundation have supplied to learn about defibs.

https://youtu.be/8A0kljQU48U

We have registered this Defib with the ambulance service so if anyone calls 999 on this site you will be directed to the defib and told what to do. The British Heart Foundation advice remains the same. If you suspect someone is having a cardiac arrest, call 999, start CPR and get someone to fetch the defibrillator. The emergency operator will advise you what to do next.

If you ever need to use the defib or of you're directed to go and get it but don't use it, can you let the residents association know as soon as you can after because we need to keep an activity log. Thanks
