The Parish Council has been lobbying for some time for help with the problem of speeding on the roads into Gunnerton and Colwell. Whilst we have secured additional static signage, the cost of interactive cameras has historically been out of reach. However, we have at last found a way.

With the help of the local funding allowance from our County Councillor, Antonia Azocar-Nevin, who funded 2 cameras, and Heidelberg Quarry based at Swinburn, who funded the third, we have secured cameras to cover the most sensitive access points for both Gunnerton and Colwell.

Finaly we must thank Paul from NCC's highways team who arranged for their installation.

This picture is of the camera into Gunnerton, from where the 60mph limit drops down to 30mph just before the playing field.
