Hello

You may be wondering why the Parish has a new website...

Because the site is owned by the Parish Council, the Council is under obligation to remain compliant with local council legislation. In 2026 Assertion 10 has been mandated, requiring a number of changes in the way that councils operate. The 2 key takeaways from Assertion 10 are:

  1. The Council Clerk must operate an email account hosted on a ".Gov.UK" domain, and;
  2. The website must be compliant with WCAG 2.2 (accessibility) requirements

The Parish Council has moved to meet both elements, but has uplifted its services to ensure that all Councillor email accounts are hosted on a .Gov.UK domain.

Please bear with us as we learn how to use these new tools - we hope to develop and enhance the website as we understand the options available to us.

If you have any suggestions for website content or improvements, please feel free to email these to the Parish Council Clerk.
