Important Update On Basildon’s New Bin Collections.

1. This Wednesday 22 November is the last collection for pink sacks. After that, pink sacks will be obsolete.

2. This Thursday 23 November, the council will be on-site to remove the pink sack communal bins and in instal the new communal bins -

Blue bins -paper and cardboard
Black bins with red lids - plastics, tins, and cans.

3. This Thursday the council will also deliver all residents a green reusable bag which is divided to help us sort recycling at home before taking it to the new bins. The new communal bins are designed with smaller openings to discourage us just chucking everything in one bin.

4. We will also get a leaflet and letter from the council explaining what to do (+ a free roll of food caddy liners as a sweetener).

5.There are no changes to general waste bins, garden waste bins, food waste bins and glass bins.
