Solstice Renewables, the developers of nearby Warren Solar Farm, (now owned by Anesco Ltd) have generously donated £22,500 to North Baddesley Parish Council’s Community Benefit Fund from which a new tractor and accompanying accessories have been purchased.

The Parish Council’s groundsman, Jim Upfold, recently took delivery of the new vehicle and confirmed it would greatly assist in maintaining the Parish Council’s land, namely the Recreation Ground and nearby former cricket grounds, Mountbatten Park and Heath/Bracken Road. Local sportsmen and women will benefit from the new tractor and attachments as it will improve the facilities at the Recreation Ground.

The Parish Council welcomed the new piece of machinery which they felt would be more cost-efficient than the old one which was in constant need of repair. Giovanni Maruca of Solstice Renewables (pictured with Cllrs Knight and Warnes and Jim Upfold, groundsman) agreed that the donation towards the Community Benefit Fund had been well spent.
