Forestry England   have launched a public consultation for Newton Wood, a new woodland they are planning to create near Newton-on-the-Moor.

The Shilbottle Parish Council boundary neighbours the new woodland. You can view and comment on the proposals until midnight on Sunday 28 June via link

Next steps 
The consultation will close at midnight on Sunday 28 June. All responses will then be summarised and included in a consultation report, along with response to the key issues raised, and published on Forestry England website. Consultation feedback and further surveys will help shape the final design proposal Forestry England will submit for regulatory review ahead of planting the new woodland.   Forestry England will update our website at
as plans for the new woodland progress.
