Work goes on . Geoff Gibson has sorted the fixture list including a full league and cup schedule . There are also 5 friendlies which includes a trip to Mansfield bowls Club. Skegness return friendly is also being negociated.

Club comps will consist of two fixed days for the pairs and the triples on May 19th and July 21st with 2 finalists going on to finals day. Singles to be played as and when arranged by entrants .

Club shirts are being sorted . The idea being a free shirt for those without with the option of buying a second one. The larger the order the cheaper the shirts . It was proposed we play a second league other than Saturdays, in club shirts to get full use of them. I will need to know who needs a shirt andwhich of you are willing to buy a second one . I will make contact soon.

Re marking of the green is down to the users of the green and we hope to make this a joint enterprise with Brinsley . To this end, has anyone got any old yellow or orange golf balls no longer used .cut in halve they make good rink markers.

Some concern over the Coronation Park playing surface . The green is sinking near the skate park end and the rink virtually unplayable , Is this a coincidence ? The council are aware .Are there any retired surveyors amongst us i wonder . More worrying is how far will it sink especially if we have a wet winter.

Please keep a look out for new players .The committee will do their best through advertising but the best recruiters are the players thenselves. Softly softly though.
