News: Stainborough Community Celebrates Successful Village Fayre

Date: 29th April 2026
Category: Community News

The Stainborough Village Fayre, held on Saturday, 24th April 2026, was a fantastic success! Despite unpredictable weather, residents from both Stainborough and Hood Green came together to enjoy a day filled with fun activities, local crafts, food stalls, and live music. Over 500 visitors attended throughout the day, making it one of the most attended village fayres in recent years.

The event featured performances from local musicians, including the popular Vinyl Revolution, who provided music in the marquee. There were also plenty of games for all ages, including a tug-of-war competition, a cake-baking contest, and a children’s treasure hunt.

Stainborough Parish Council would like to extend a huge thank you to all volunteers, local businesses, and attendees who helped make the event a memorable one. The funds raised from the fayre will go towards funding community initiatives, such as the renovation of the local playground and supporting community events in the future.

A special thanks also goes to The Stafford Arms and Stainborough Cricket Club for their support throughout the day.
