Village Gully Inspection

Recently, members of the Parish Council undertook a thorough inspection of the gullies throughout the village. The aim was to identify any drains that were blocked and could potentially lead to drainage problems.

While the task of physically checking the gullies was straightforward, councillors encountered difficulties when it came to collating the information. These challenges made it more complex to compile a comprehensive report on the condition of the village’s drainage system.

Based on the findings, the Individual Cllrsl has reported the gullies deemed to require attention using the official link provided below. If you are aware of any drainage issues or blocked gullies in your area, please report them through the same link to ensure prompt action.

Millennium Gardens Update

Millennium Gardens has recently experienced incidents of anti-social activity which now require external intervention.

As a temporary solution, the council has agreed to fence off the seating area within Millennium Gardens.

The effectiveness of this solution will be monitored over a period of three months. Dependent on the outcome, the council may seek professional advice regarding the relandscaping of the area, with the objective of reducing the likelihood of recurring issues. This action aims to deter further anti-social behaviour and promote a safer environment for all visitors.

We kindly request that anyone who witnesses anti-social activity or any form of vandalism to please contact the police.
