The Parish Council will be taking possession of the Ex Cricket-Club in due course after a successful building control inspection.

This is good news for both the Youth Club and the Parish. The club has been refurbished and a big thanks to local businessman Mr Guidi (3 solutions) for his generous donations of

Materials, including kitchen units, worktops, splashback and plenty of paint.

At the last meeting we agreed to fund the materials needed for the proposed artwork inside the bus shelter.

Graffiti designs by the children in the village school.

A thanks to Cllr Sellar who has made good progress in updating the Parish Online mapping with the help of the clerk and cllrs supplying information.

Also, thanks to Cllr Sellar who has taken up the role of Footpaths Officer.

You may have noticed that a stretch of road on the A37 has now had the new speed limit painted on the road in readiness for the signs to go up.

This will mean a continuation of the 40mph at the bottom of Prestleigh Hill to include Southwood and beyond.

There has been a public consultation regarding the Parking in Victoria Square and should see some restrictions about to be put in place.

Please note that there have been several vehicles receiving parking tickets from the Traffic warden, for parking on yellow lines,

Opposite the junction of Queens Park Road and outside the Pharmacy.

The next full council meeting will be April 1st 7pm in the Village Hall
