We're always looking for ways to work more efficiently so we can focus our time and energy on the things that matter most to our community.

At the moment, just the simple process of reporting the news is almost a full-time job. We share the same updates in three different places: on Facebook, on our website, and through a printed newsletter delivered to every home. As you can imagine, doing the same job three times takes a lot of time and is expensive for a small team of volunteers.

The printed newsletter is our biggest challenge. Writing, printing, and hand-delivering paper updates to over 180 homes every time there is news is simply no longer realistic - it's time consuming and very costly.

In fact, many residents have already contacted us to say there is no point in sending them paper newsletters anymore, because they read everything on our website instead. Our website statistics back this up, showing that hundreds of people are viewing the site every single week.

It is a brilliant system because if you type your email address into the website, it will automatically send you an email every single time we add new information.

Because of this, we are making a few changes.

We would always advise getting the news on our website if you can, as it is always going to be bang up to date.

For those who cannot use the website, we want to make absolutely sure that nobody is left out. We will still print a few dozen paper newsletters every month or so and leave them in the library and clubhouse so people can pick them up. Look out for the nice bright poster outside the club when there is a new edition to collect. If you cannot get there yourself, you could perhaps ask a helpful neighbour to pick one up for you or have a word with one of the commitee members.

For everyone else, all updates will continue to be posted directly on our website and on Facebook, where they are free and instant. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
