NHS England seek views on proposals to tackle the causes of preventable ill health

NHS England is seeking views on a set of proposals to tackle the causes of preventable ill health in England. NHS England has set out its approach to preventative health and care in the 2020s in a green paper, and this will focus on:
  • Targeted support
  • Tailored lifestyle advice
  • Personalised care
  • Greater protection against future threats

The Advancing Our Health Prevention in the 2020s consultation acknowledges that environmental and lifestyle factors play a key part in shaping health and life chances alongside local services. The consultation is designed to explore what measures the NHS should take to improve the nation’s health over the next decade, and how individuals and communities can play their part in achieving this.

The consultation closes at 11:59pm on 14 October 2019.
