NICOLE REACHES NATIONAL QUARTER FINAL

Sunday was a good day for Nicole as she played the National Junior Singles at Royal Leamington Spa. In her first game she beat Kathryn Hipkiss of Derbyshire 21-13 before meeting Kate Williams of Herefordshire who after a close start she beat 21-9. Her final game of a tiring day was against Abbie Ward of Warwickshire and this was a close encounter. Leading 16-10 Nicole was pegged back to 16-16 and then found herself three down only to produce an excellent last bowl to take her into a 18-16 lead. Holding three for game she was then denied victory by her opponent's last bowl but clinched victory on the next end We wish her all the best for her quarter final - a great achievement to get so far.
