No discrimination John Armstrong

I have recently wrote articles and put up posters to try and attract new players. In my postings i do not dicriminate in any way but advertise for players . As far as the clubs concerned we welcome all sexes all nationalities . There was a rumour circulated that ladies are not welcome at Greasley Bowls Club .That is a load of twaddle .Personnally i find it sad that bowls seems to be the preserve of white retired people,mostly men,but that was a tradition going back many years which is no longer true.As i find out from my indoor bowls experience ladies are very capable players.If only more would take courage and give it a try.

My recent article in the Advertiser was edited andit seems we are now named as a Crown Green bowls club ,but at least they run our articles.

The green opens on Saturday April 28th . Lets hope it warms up.
