You may have noticed an increase in loud exhausts in recent weeks.

It would seem the new charging station on the A1 has attracted car meets.

The police are aware of the issue and have been working with Fastned and the OK Diner to deter such congregations.

They have also asked that anyone who notices a meet taking place, reports it immediately on 101 so that a police presence can be maintained.

It is hoped that these measures will deter those attending and the meets will lessen over the coming months.

Please help by reporting issues on 101 – don’t leave it to others or it may go unreported!
