READY TO START A NEW CHAPTER?

It's the National Year of Reading and so North Yorkshire Libraries’ is running an Adult Reading Challenge! It's your perfect excuse to discover brilliant books your way!

Whether you're a lifelong reader or just getting into the habit, this challenge is fun, easy, and packed with prizes.

Anyone can join. All you need to do is pick up an entry form and read or listen to 4 items borrowed from any North Yorkshire library or our digital library. Choose one item for each category:

• A non fiction book about a hobby or interest
• A book under 250 pages
• Re-read a book you’ve loved before
• Something published in 2025

It’s as simple as that!

Hand in your completed entry form at any North Yorkshire Library by 12th April 2026 and you’ll be entered into our VIP prize draw to win a coveted hamper packed full of hand-picked treats and vouchers!
