Notice: Conversion of Little Marlow Parish Council Streetlights to LED
Little Marlow Parish Council is considering changing its streetlights to LED. Parishioners are invited to provide their views on this matter.
The Little Marlow Parish Council Environment Committee intends to publish a Report containing recommendations for a project to convert the Council’s 39 residential streetlights to LED. The project aims to improve the illumination of streets, reduce energy consumption, lower maintenance costs, and support the objectives of the Council’s Environment Policy. A variety of options are being considered including turning-off or dimming some streetlights between 1am and 5am when vehicular and pedestrian traffic levels are low.
The project will consider streetlights in the following roads:
Burroughs Crescent, Church Road, Coldmoorholme Lane, Fern Lane, Oakfield Road, School Lane, The Moor, Wendover Road, Winchbottom Lane
The Report will be published on November 1st and its recommendations will be considered by Full Council at the meeting of November 8th where public representations can be made. A Scope of Work (SOW) will then be proposed and decided upon at a subsequent Full Council meeting whereupon an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the supply of works to convert the streetlights will be issued to prospective contractors.
