Notice of an application to remove land registered as Common Land

Oxfordshire County Council has received an application to remove land registered as Common Land from the Register of Common Land.

Notice is given that an application has been made to the Oxfordshire County Council, by Mr Neil Griffiths, 50 Upper South, Wraxall, Bradford on Avon, under Schedule 2 (7) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons Registration (England) Regulations 2014.

The effect of the application if granted would be to remove land adjacent to Pond House, Uffington as described in the Schedule below, from Common Land Parcel 141 as registered on the register of Common Land.

The application, which includes a plan of the application land in question, may be inspected at the following office of the Registration Authority, Countryside Access Legal Team, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Street, Oxford, OX1 1NE; email countrysideaccesslegal@oxforshire.gov.uk between the hours of 9.00am to 4.30pm, Monday – Friday. Any representations should be made in writing to the Principal Officer, Oxfordshire County Council, Countryside Access Legal Team, County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1NE or email countrysideaccesslegal@oxforshire.gov.uk on or before 20th April 2026

Any representations must:

• State the name and postal address (and email address if desired) of the person making the representation and the nature of that person’s interest in the land (if any)
• Be signed by the person making the representation
• State the grounds on which the representation is made

Any representations cannot be treated as confidential, but will be dealt with in accordance with regulation 25 of the Commons Registration (England) Regulations 2014, and where the application is referred to the Planning Inspectorate for determination in accordance with regulation 26, any representations will be sent to the Planning Inspectorate.
