Find out more about this community in:

The recent Town and Parish Council elections resulted in an uncontested election for Ashendon with only 4 people putting their name forward for five seats.

At its June meeting, the Parish Council resolved to begin the process to co-opt a Parish Councillor to fill the fifth seat. The PC is required to give Notice of Vacancy. When this Notice expires, the Parish Council will proceed to advertise the position and fill the position by co-option at its September meeting (Monday 20th September at 8pm)..

Please consider applying. As a Parish Councillor you can become a voice for our community and represent the interests of Ashendon. The main requirements are enthusiasm and determination. There are plenty of training opportunities which are paid for by the Parish Council. Meetings are monthly, the third Monday in the month and last up to 2 hours but some time is needed outside of these meetings too, to get involved locally in wider meetings (working groups such as the Traffic Action Group or, for example, the new Haddenham and Waddesdon Community Boards

More details will follow when the Notice of Vacancy expires on 14th July inviting applications. In the meantime, if you have any questions please email the Clerk at ashendonpc@gmail.com.
