2. As we enter the twilight months of the year there is always a temptation to look back and question where did the year go? Well, it is a well-known fact that if you’re busy, time goes by much quicker. For WMS members we have been at a full gallop for most of the time and we can all see the results of our work on our Shed. With the shorter days and colder weather, focus has returned to the Shed’s internal projects for the upkeep of our workshops. The main workshop flooring has now been replaced and will serve us well for a few years now. Thanks again to the stalwart team of members who seem to easily slip from carpenters to plumbers then electricians to flooring. There seems no limit to the talent and expertise in the membership. With the flooring almost complete Charlie Farnes and Dave Sy are keen to try it out.

3. We have received an invitation from a new local care home, part of the Barchester group, which we already have a connection with. The new home is Hazelton Gardens in Waterlooville. The date is 12thNovember 1200 – 1400. Tours and complimentary refreshments, including canape’s will be available throughout the afternoon, accompanied by live music by Mark Levin. There will also be a special guest arriving too. If you are interested, please get back to the Secretary soonest so I can respond. The invite is for one plus one guest (Two members?). It will also raise our profile local if we could wear or logo’ ed tops.
