Use of the Green

The news from Bowls England is not good. They are still seeking clarification from the Government however the assumption must be that all bowls will have to cease during lockdown.

Bowls England aim to have clarification on their website soon - https://www.bowlsengland.com/ coronavirus-guidance/

Auction/Sale/Bonds

We do intend to continue raising funds however. If you have any items that could be sold, and the money donated to club projects, then please contact Adrian Ball at u7developments @gmail.com or 01666 503375.

We now have bonds available. Please let Tina know if you intend to deposit any funds in the Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club account and the paperwork will be produced.

Changing Room Project

There have been discussions and proposals concerning the changing rooms for several years. One approach that has been suggested involves constructing an additional facility on the space at the far end of the green. This would free up space in the clubhouse and allow for alterations. To create space for any new facility to be installed the scoreboard would have to be removed. This would allow the space for either a simple (but large) shed or, if we are successful with a bid, a more sophisticated facility. Either way, removal of the scoreboard could take place during the next month as it is unlikely that we will be able to make use of the green before 2nd December 2020.
