After a very successful presentation with fish and chips evening we are now looking forward to other events.

AGM Tuesday 16th November 2021 7pm at Biddenden Village Hall

Please do try to come along as your views and votes are very important. Full details of the agenda, proposals and reports are available on the AGM page on the website.

The Great Big Christmas Quiz - Friday 10th December 7pm at Biddenden Village Hall

£5 per person with tables of 6. (Pay on the evening) Bring your own food and drink. There will be a raffle with a lovely Christmas hamper as first prize. Please book your tickets with Barbara by emailing g.ellison1@btinternet.com or phone her 07960521083. Don't worry if you can't make up a full table of 6, Barbara will team you up. Do try to come along as this will be a Christmas themed fund raiser and fun social get together. Friends and family very welcome.

The draw for Sue J's Christmas Cake will take place on the evening. (If you haven't got your cake draw tickets yet contact Sue!) David and Pat who won last year's cake said it was delicious and I am sure this year's will be just as good.

Easy Fund Raising

14 club members are regularly earning for the club by using Easy Fund Raising on some of their online purchases. It is really easy to do and if you have not had a look please follow the link to find out more.

Sign up now: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/biddendenbowlsclub/?invite=5Y4UZH&referral-campaign=c2s&utm_source=newssharebox

Please support Biddenden Bowls Club by raising donations when you shop online through #easyfundraising. In the lead up to Christmas, it's the best time to support us and help ensure this year means more! It's simple and only takes 2 minutes to join! Plus, once you've raised your first £15, easyfundraising will match it!

Looking after the GREEN and surrounds

Don't forget that work continues on the green and surrounds and volunteers are needed to support the dedicated team of Paul, Norman, Jim and Brian who are there most Tuesday mornings and on other days. Norman has been busy fitting some heaters in the club house and some external lighting to allow us to use the club house over the Winter. The brushers are also working daily. Hugh and Paul had a morning digging to locate the problem water supply pipe by the squash club and we are liaising with the VHSC to arrange for the required new piping to restore our drinkable water supply.

Ralph and Shirley have been working on the bank extending the "logs" and planting. It's looking good.

Once again, we are asking for help - there are jobs to do so if you can spare a few hours please contact Paul

Get togethers at the Club House in the New Year

With our new heating (!!) it is planned to hold a variety of get togethers in the club house in January through to the new season in April. This may include some strictly social events such as coffee mornings and other planned meetings such as coaching and bowls awareness sessions (bit on rules, etiquette, practise measuring etc). If you have any ideas, please let someone on the new committee (to be elected at the AGM) know.
