Nuthurst Parish Council Meeting Cancelled Due to Red Weather Warning

Nuthurst Parish Council wishes to inform residents that the Parish Council meeting scheduled for 24 June has been cancelled due to the current Red Weather Warning issued for the area.

The safety of councillors, residents, staff and visitors must remain the Council's highest priority. A Red Weather Warning indicates that severe weather conditions are expected and that there is a significant risk to personal safety, disruption to travel, and potential impacts on local infrastructure. In these circumstances, it would not be appropriate to ask members of the public or Council representatives to travel to or attend the meeting.

While the Council recognises the importance of maintaining its regular schedule of meetings and ensuring that local business is conducted transparently, protecting the wellbeing of everyone involved is paramount. The decision to cancel has therefore been taken as a precautionary measure in response to the serious weather conditions forecast.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring official weather updates and to follow any guidance issued by the relevant authorities.

The Parish Clerk will provide further information regarding the rescheduling of the meeting and any other updates as soon as possible. Updates will be published through the Council's usual communication channels.
