Sevenoaks District Council have been working with residents, Parish Council and Site Manager of Oakview Stud Farm to address concerns raised.

Dog Training School

Following reports from residents, SDC Officers visited the site and served an abatement notice on the noise from the dog training school. This notice was breached and with evidence provided by residents. SDC are prosecuting the Landowner, Manager of the site and Operator of the Dog Training School. This went to court on 4 March 2022. All three pleaded not guilty and a trial is set for July.

SDC have received a planning application for the Dog Training School and this is going through the process. We have sent letters on 15 March to over 70 residents so that they can comment. The application can be found on our portal and the reference is 22/00477/FUL

Scaffolding

Following on from an Enforcement Notice served in 2018, we have been made aware that this was coming down on 4/5 March. Officers visited the site on 7th March and it had partially had come down. SDC Officers will be making continued visits to make sure it comes down. If it is not down by the end of March we will be going forward with legal action.

Floodlights

This is being investigated by Planning Enforcement and a decision on whether they have been rectified or are in a breach will be decided by end of March. If they are in a planning breach and Enforcement Notice will be issued.

Parking on the Street

We have been liaising with the Site Manager as they have mentioned putting a car park on site. They would have to put in a change of use application in and would go through that process. We have spoken to the Site Manger and he has asked workers and visitors to be mindful and not block the road.
