On the evening of 9th October 2015, Damian Hinds, local MP and Dementia Champion held his first Dementia Friends Awareness session at Alton Community Centre. An amazing turnout of around thirty local residents and care staff from Borovere Care Home enjoyed the passionate and thought-provoking presentation. The interactive session left all those who participated feeling very motivated about promoting dementia-awareness locally and in getting involved in Dementia-friendly Alton.
