Hi local parishes,

This month we have still been focusing our efforts around womens safety and how the police can help to make members of the public feel safe when undertaking daily activites. The police have close links with other agencies to achieve this. If you have any issues to raise about safety, please bring this to our attention so we can assist.

Insulate Britian has still been conducting protests on many roads and highways up and down the country. Many arrests have been made and with the help of the government, legislation is currently in the process of being finalised to prevent this from happening in the future.

Coming at the start of november is bonfire night. We wish everyone a safe and cheerful night but please be mindful of direction when setting off fireworks as this can cause criminal damage or hurt members of the public.

ASH

We received two reports of stolen vehicles within the Ash area. If you own a car, make sure to store your keys in a place which cannot be seen easily or easily obtained, online you can purchase tins with food labels on that you can store keys in, they look like ordinary food tins so people would not notice there are keys inside. With regards to bikes we advise to make sure that these are locked up when not in use and stored in an appropriate place.

One report of found stolen vehicle had been reported in. If you feel that a vehicle has been abandoned or a suspicous looking vehicle be sure to make Kent police aware by contatcing 101 or via the Kent police website.

One report of a vehicle being damaged was called into us. The vehicle had been left with key marks and scratches down the length of the car. Where possible, be sure to park vehicles closer to properties or with sufficent lighting to deter any criminal damage or ASB.

HARTLEY HODSOLL STREET

One women was concerned when she had police knocking at her door during the evening conducting enquiries, the female was concerned this was not a legit call so did not answer the door which was the right thing to do, If you have officers at your door and you are concerned you can either ring 101 to verify there identity or you can ask for a officer verification check. An officer verification check is when the officer will ask control room via their radio to confirm who they are and where their current location is, the radio will be turned up so you can hear it and the control room will state the officers force number and the location of where they are, officers will always have ID cards on them and force numbers on display.

A group of youths were removed from the abandoned building in wellfield, their details were taken and taken home by police and parents spoken too.

We have had 1 report of eggs being thrown at a property, unfortunatley we have no CCTV or witnesses, we have spoken to the local shops and reminded them to be wary of who they are selling eggs too.

FARNINGHAM, HORTON KIRBY, SOUTH DARENTH

House to house enquries were carried out in regards to tools stolen from a van, I know not everyone has storage in their homes to store tools but if you can store them elsewhere over night please do.

Multiple reports of cannabis being smoked at a property. Intel reports are being submitted to build an image of cannabis use in the area. With enough intelligence reports, steps can be taken further to elimate the illegal use of cannabis.

We received a report of a vehicle causing an obstruction to a driveway. We ask drivers to be mindful of where they are parking and ensuring it isn’t blocking any points of access.
