Free tennis coaching – a big hit!

Alton Tennis Club's Open Day on Sunday 14th June proved a big hit with the local children and adults who went along to take advantage of the free tennis coaching sessions on offer. The club’s coaching team from In2tennis, lead by head coach Marc Codling, took to the courts to help the high number of visitors who had turned up to the LTA-supported event.

Meanwhile, in the clubhouse, members had laid on a spread of home made cakes, scones and teas to keep the parents and friends of players happy.

Other members were kept busy with visitors having the opportunity to try the game before deciding on membership or signing on to coaching courses.

Following the success of the Open Day the club is offering a short course of four free one hour sessions with their professional coach on Tuesday evenings - see 'Free Tennis' new item. Anyone over the age of 18, who is not already a member of the club, is welcome to sign on to the course but places are limited so early application is vital.
