Over twenty-five visitors enjoyed glorious bowling conditions during Sunday's Open Day. The vast majority were newcomers to the game and together with some more experienced bowlers had a great time testing their skills on the green. Club members turned out in force to provide tips and advice and everyone appreciated a cup of tea or a drink in the bar afterwards. Some have already joined the club and many are returning to enjoy free coaching from 6.00-8.00pm every Monday throughout July. If you missed Open Day feel free to call in on Monday evenings, no equipment necessary but bring flat-soled shoes such as trainers to protect the green.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
